![]() ![]() Note: PS3 just performed an update about 2 weeks ago, so I don't know if that has anything to do with it. Whether you need interoperability with other DLNA Certified devices or interoperability of your own branded devices, DLNA Certification ensures that your certified products have. Attempted to play video - error still occursĭoes anyone out there have any suggestions to solve this problem? It's extremely frustrating. DLNA Certification remains in demand for consumer electronics manufacturers, middleware vendors and software developers. Here is the procedure (I actually saw this on another forum): 1. The first time, I got the dlna protocol error 2104, the second time I was able to play all the videos without any errors (for some reason my ps3 would sometimes be able to play certain videos, but only a very limited number). Re-enable PS3 connection, w UPnP disabled.ġ1. I tested it once before changing the setting, and once after. Mostly it is because of the UPnP being disabled or having conflict with DLNA. Attempted to play video - error still occursġ0. It seems that the error you are getting is about some settings on the Router. I then get a message saying 'DLNA Protocol Error 2104' in the top right corner of the screen (in the same way as you get the 'signed in' message for the Playstation Network) before the screen grays out and a message comes up in the middle saying 'file type not supported'. Re-enable PS3 connection, accepting all default settings.Ħ. Below are some of the steps I have take to try and solve the problem, but with NO success whatsoever:ĥ. Whenever I play video files, the video stops playing about 10 sec in. On your Windows 7 Machine open Windows Explorer (Windows Key+E) > Select Homegroup > View homegroup settings. This was working pretty well up until a few days ago. I have a wireless connection but have connected my PS3 to the router using an Ethernet cable. Hi All, I bought my PS3 a couple of months back and was able to follow steps online and get my media server going by sharing media files on my PC with my PS3 using Vuze. Originally I had to change my ps3 media receiver type to 'ps3' from the defaulted value of 'Default Media Receiver' to see the files on the ps3. Furthermore, my wireless internet on all my computers connected stops working, and I have to restart the router in order to get the internet up and running again. THE FIX: Inside the pvconnect settings it shows the media receivers connected to the server. Whenever I play video files, the video stops playing about 10 sec in and displays the dlna error code 2104.
